This container vessel monorail crane is a single-beam marine lifting device, also known as a provision crane or traversing single beam crane.
The container vessel monorail crane adopts a translational design and is equipped with two hoisting units located at both ends of the single beam. The hoisting mechanisms are mounted on the movable beam, which can move along the track beam. The output gear of the traveling mechanism meshes with the rack, enabling it to drive the movable beam to move along the track beam. Additionally, it features a position self-locking function. One end of the movable beam can extend beyond the ship's side for operations.
Typically, the container vessel monorail crane is generally installed near the cargo hold at the stern of a ship and fixed on the vessel via a single-beam track. Their main purpose is to lift and transport crew supplies, marine equipment, engine room components, and other items. The container vessel monorail crane can operate normally when the ship's inclination angle does not exceed 5°/2°. When it needs to be stopped, the locking device enables reliable positioning of the crane to prevent slipping. Once the locking device is activated, all movements of the crane will be disabled; when the locking device is unlocked, the crane resumes normal operation.
