Pedestal Crane
--- for marine & offshore & ports
A pedestal crane is a specialized lifting device compliant with the API 2C design
specification, equipped as standard with a truss-type boom. Its operating range covers the transfer of light materials to the hoisting of heavy-duty equipment, making it widely applicable in operating scenarios such as offshore oil platforms and ships.
The crane is mainly composed of core components, including the lattice boom, hook block, driver's cab, cylindrical body, traveling mechanism, turntable, luffing mechanism, machinery room, hoisting mechanism, and boom balancing system.
The pedestal crane features a small-amplitude swing at the tail, which can effectively optimize the utilization rate of deck space. All driving devices are integrated in a closed operating room, which can resist the erosion of harsh offshore environments, greatly improve the operational reliability of the equipment, and reduce operation and maintenance costs.
Some high-end models of pedestal crane can also be optionally fitted with active/passive heave compensation systems, with a maximum lifting capacity of up to the thousand-ton level.
