The extending boom deck crane (often referred to as a telescopic/extendable boom deck crane) is a type of marine lifting equipment installed on ship decks or offshore platforms. Operators control the extension and retraction of hydraulic cylinders via control levers to push the nested boom sections outward, thereby providing a flexible working radius and height for lifting operations and enabling long-distance and high-altitude lifting tasks.
The deck crane can be configured with 360° continuous slewing functionality for unobstructed operation.
Meanwhile, when not in use, the extending boom deck crane can be retracted to minimize installation space, making it an indispensable type of lifting machinery for marine operations.
