A marine lifting crane is a specialized lifting device that is dedicated for marine environments, installed on the decks of various ships, and used for bulk cargo handling.
YFM Marine Lifting Cranes are mainly used for tasks such as inter-vessel cargo transfer, maritime replenishment, and the deployment and recovery of underwater operation equipment. They play a critical role in fields including maritime transportation, offshore oil and gas development, and marine engineering construction.
Deck cranes are one of the most commonly used types of marine lifting cranes, with a rated lifting capacity typically ranging from 5 to 50 tons. Capable of 360° full rotation and featuring a compact deck footprint, this crane type is ideal for frequent loading and unloading operations.
Key Power Transmission and Load-bearing Components
The key power transmission and load-bearing components of a marine
lifting crane include wire ropes, hooks, pulleys, gears, shafts, etc. These components must withstand the dual challenges of alternating loads, wear and tear, and seawater corrosion.
Wire Ropes: Made of high-strength carbon steel wires (e.g., 6×37S+FC-1770MPa) with a hot-dip galvanized coating, designed as rotation-resistant type.
Hooks/Lifting Rings: Forged from high-quality carbon structural steel or alloy structural steel (e.g., 20Mn2, 35CrMo), subjected to quenching and tempering heat treatment. The surface shall be galvanized or passivated.
Pulleys/Drums: Made of QT600-3 (ductile iron) or 45# steel (quenched and tempered), with wear-resistant and anti-corrosive coating applied on the surface.
Gears/Drive Shafts: Made of 20CrMnTi (carburized steel) or 40Cr (alloy structural steel). After carburizing and quenching treatment, the surface shall be phosphated and coated with anti-rust oil, or treated with hard chrome plating.
