Our lifting spreaders are made of high-strength steel(like Q345B/Q355B), with sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the weight of the container and various forces encountered during operation.
As a key component of the spreader, the twistlock device is used to connect with the corner castings of the container. The semi-automatic spreader's twistlock device is driven by the cooperation of the crane and the mechanical linkage structure to realize the rotation and locking of the twist locks.
Guide plates play a critical role in the efficient operation of the spreader. They guide the container into the correct position of the spreader, ensuring smooth and precise loading and unloading, thus improving the overall operational efficiency.

Frame Material: For our 40FT Semi-Automatic Mechanical Container Spreader, Q345B/Q355B low-alloy high-strength steel is preferred, balancing strength, toughness, and cost-effectiveness.
Twist Lock: Made of 42CrMo alloy steel, with strict heat treatment and non-destructive testing (NDT).
High-Temperature Environment, heat-resistant steel or heat-resistant cast iron must be used.
Manufacturing Process: The spreader beam is normally of welded structure (welded from steel plates or sections), while the twist locks adopt a forged structure.
Painting:
(1) Paint brand: Hempel.
(2) Surface treatment: Cleaned and roughened by sandblasting to remove rust, scale, oil, and impurities.
(3) Standard: Comply with ISO 8501-1, Grade Sa 2.5.
(4) Coating: 2 coats of epoxy zinc-rich primer, 2 coats of polyurethane topcoat.
(5) The paint shall be applied evenly, free from defects such as cracks, peeling, build-up, and blistering.
(6) Topcoat color: Melon yellow (RAL 1028).
(7) Service Life: Under normal service conditions, the paint shall be guaranteed against rust spots, peeling, flaking, and lifting for at least two years.
Shipping
Our 40 FT semi-automatic mechanical container spreaders are shipped by container vessel or bulk carrier. For container transportation, we use a 45-feet container for 4 sets spreaders.
The spreader shall be fully assembled and tested in the factory prior to transportation. Only after passing the test, any necessary touch-up painting shall be carried out, and shipment shall be made only after the paint is completely dry.
