In March 2026, two 5T/4–29m telescopic boom marine deck cranes independently designed, manufactured, and fully technically supported by YFM were successfully installed and formally handed over aboard an LNG bunkering vessel at Puerto de Huelva (Port of Huelva), Spain. Following final acceptance, the vessel kicked off its official launch and sea trial campaign.
The seamless execution of this landmark project adds a valuable track record to YFM's footprint in Europe's offshore equipment sector. More importantly, the outfitted vessel will serve as a critical pillar underpinning the local green marine fuel supply chain.
Dual-Crane Synergy Eliminates Berthing Efficiency Constraints
Drawing on thorough evaluation of the vessel's real-world operational demands, YFM's engineering team rolled out a bespoke fore-and-aft twin-crane arrangement for the client. This layout delivers built-in operational redundancy to avoid costly vessel downtime triggered by single-crane malfunction. More practically, regardless of port or starboard berthing dictated by wind, wave, and dock limitations, either telescopic boom marine deck cranes can deliver immediate nearby lifting support during alongside operations. The setup substantially accelerates deck supply replenishment and cryogenic hose connection efficiency at the terminal.

- Auxiliary hook: 2-tonne SWL, working radius 5.2m to 30.8m
When not in service, the telescopic boom retracts completely to free up maximum usable deck space, a key advantage on space-restricted LNG vessel decks.

A highlight of the project lies in its high-specification personnel lifting capability, developed to address two core onboard needs: routine high-level inspection of LNG high-pressure piping manifolds and safe ship-to-ship crew transfer. YFM integrated an internationally accredited dual-brake hydraulic man-riding system to guarantee stable, secure ascent and descent of the personnel basket. For man-riding mode, the marine crane's SWL is strictly capped at 1 tonne with a safe operating radius spanning 4m to 29m.
Prior to factory dispatch, all YFM man-riding cranes undergo mandatory overload testing at 1.5 times the rated static load, alongside simulated power-failure emergency lowering trials, validating fail-safe braking performance under extreme scenarios.
Note for Operational Compliance: End users must deploy certified fall-arrest lanyards and personnel baskets fully compliant with DNVGL-ST-E271 (DNV 2.7-1) during actual man-riding work.

LNG bunkering vessels feature densely packed deck piping and extremely tight installation envelopes, posing stringent challenges for equipment layout.
