--- for marine & offshore plateform

The design of all YFM maritime cranes is rooted in the specific conditions of marine applications: harsh environments (such as extreme temperatures, humidity, high salt fog, strong winds, etc.), dynamic load scenarios, and the excessive lateral loads and stresses endured by the cranes during operation.

On this basis, YFM maritime cranes are ensured to safely, reliably, and efficiently perform tasks such as cargo handling, equipment deployment, rescue operations, and offshore engineering support at sea.

Main Application of Maritime Cranes

1. Port Cranes, Harbor Cranes, Dockyard Cranes

- Shore Cranes(Shore-to-Ship Cranes): Container Cranes and Unloaders.

2. Ship Cranes/Vessel Cranes

- Deck Cranes

3. Offshore Cranes: Used in oil and gas platforms or offshore wind platforms.

4. Rescue & Salvage Cranes

- Floating Cranes: Mounted on floating vessels or barges for water-based operations.

- Rescue Cranes

marine grab

Bulk Handling

Grab granular bulk cargo such as grain and coal through grab buckets for transportation.

container crane

Container Handling

Handle/transport containers by fixing them with container spreaders.

marine crane

Heavy Lift Handling

Lift heavy machinery that cannot be carried by human power through crane hooks.

Foldable Boom Crane

General Cargo Handling

Transfer miscellaneous cargo through special tools such as cloth bags and hanging baskets.

Advantages of Maritime Cranes

- Cab/Control Console/Wireless Remote Control Device

- High load capacity (customizable)

- High-strength steel materials (e.g., Q345B, Q355B)

- Marine treatment

- AHC system(Optional)

- Anti-sway technology

- Overload protection system

- Safety brake device

- Compliance with international maritime standards (e.g., IMO, DNV GL)

- PLC automation control(Optional)

- Driving device(Optional)

Differences from Land Cranes

- Environmental Adaptability: Maritime cranes must withstand special conditions such as high humidity, salt spray, vibration, and ship swaying.

- Space Constraints: Due to the limited deck space on ships or platforms, the maritime cranes design places greater emphasis on compactness and maximizing the operational range (e.g., articulated arms cranes save over 30% of deck space).

- Safety Standards: The maritime cranes must comply with strict specifications of the IMOand classification societies (such as DNV, BV, RINA, etc.), covering requirements for anti-tipping, fire prevention, explosion protection, etc.

Delivery Scope Of Maritime Cranes

Maritime Crane Body:

1. Crane Pedestal as a separate unit: Internal stiffeners for transportation for the pedestal

2. Crane house as a separate unit.

3. Crane boom as a separate unit

5. Main winch as a separate unit

6. Wire rope as a separate unit(Optional)

7. Loose gear and various ladders, platforms, etc

8. Cylinders as separate units

9. Special Tools: Grease Gun

Surface Treatment OF Maritime Cranes

1. External Treatment

A. Pedestal, Crane House, and Boom

  • External surfaces are sandblasted to Sa 2.5 standard.
  • Apply one coat of Interzinc 52 primer with a dry film thickness of 75 microns.
  • Apply a second coat of Intergard 345 intermediate paint with a dry film thickness of 125 microns.
  • Apply a third top coat of Interthane 990 with a dry film thickness of 60 microns.
  • Top coat color: as specified by the customer.

2. Internal Treatment

A. Pedestal and Crane House

Internal surfaces are sandblasted to Sa 2.5 standard.

Apply one coat of Interzinc 52 primer with a dry film thickness of 40 microns.

Apply a second coat of Intergard 345 intermediate paint with a dry film thickness of 75 microns.

B. Oil Tank (Integrated in Crane House)

External surfaces are sandblasted to Sa 2.5 standard.

Apply one coat of Interzinc 52 primer with a dry film thickness of 40 microns.

C. Inner Side of Boom Closed Box

No treatment is required, as it is a fully enclosed steel box structure.
